Edda Procel Manriquez is an award winning performance and experimental horror film and video artist. Her work has been featured at  prestigious film festivals all around the world.

 

Edda is the founder and director of 501c3 travelling womxn's film festival, Les Femmes Underground International Film Festival which showcases films from over 30 different countries ranging in genres from Documentary, Experimental, Narrative, Horror, Female Sexuality, and Psychotropic cinema. 

 

She has programmed and collaborated with various film festivals including Fantasia International Film Festival, San Diego Italian Film Festival, San Diego Latino Film Festival, and Femme Scandal, Etheria Film Night, Boston Underground International Film Festival, Non-Plussed Ultra, Women Make Movies, Vidiots, Seed & Spark, American Cinematheque, and the Echo Park Film Center.

 

Edda obtained her M.F.A. in Film and Video at the California Institute of the Arts and her Bachelors in Visual Arts, Communications, and Stage Management from the University of California, San Diego. Edda currently works at the Academy Film Archive.
